Management of Grossly Obese (more than 120kgs)

Another first has been achieved by the surgeons at studio aesthetique. Having sculpted many obese abdomens with SMART LIPO & VASER COMBO, surgeons at this studio gave a new dimension to combination of modern techniques....to give maximum benefit with minimal invasive surgery.

Normally clients who weigh more than 120 kg are advised one of the Bariatric procedure like Gastric banding, Gastric stapling, Gastric sleeve resection, Gastric bypass etc, each procedure with its own limitations. Patient loses weight over a prolonged period of six months & is likely to have a hanging skin because of loss of fat.

To overcome Both these problems, two most advanced world class procedures were employed on the  same patient at the same time. Both these procedures are independently capable of reducing weight but we took the advantages of both processes to give maximum benefit with MINIMAL SURGICAL INJURY.

  1. SMART LIPO & VASER LIPOLYSIS
    All fat in front of the abdomen was lysed & removed causing flattening of abdomen & skin tightening immediately following surgery.
  2. GASTRIC IMBRICATION - By Laparoscopic key hole procedure.
    A reversible, simple, less invasive & short procedure which involves folding of stomach over itself by 3 stitches. (It does not involve any stapling or cutting of food pipe (intestines). Patients walk home the next morning. The procedure results in reducing the capacity of the stomach to 100 – 150ml & patients gets satiety with a small meal.

Total Surgical time
1 Hr for Gastric imbrication.
1 Hr for SMART LIPO & VASER of Abdomen.

Results

  1. Flat abdomen immediate post operatively.
  2. Tightening of skin to a great extent immediately post operatively.
  3. Patient loses 35 to 40 kg over a period of six months.
  4. 60 – 80% weight loss at the end of one year.
